DSBDA offers assistance with façade improvements through the City of Chicago Facade Rebate Program, which offers rebates to commercial & industrial businesses as well as property owners completing facade rehabilitation projects.
DSBDA created the Paseo Boricua Beautification program to assist business owners in the beautification of the Paseo Boricua commercial corridor, and to provide a safe and inviting environment for patrons of Paseo Boricua.
The program runs year round. A part time street cleaner paid by DSBDA, cleans the street from Western to California Avenue four hours a day, six days a week.
During the Spring and Summer months DSBDA organizes volunteers to clean the street and the empty lots on Paseo Boricua. In addition, flowers are planted in the planters that line the street.
